| I'm in Germany and I'm really liking the cold weather. I decided no to tell anyone I was coming and am really glad I did. I've answered these questions at least twenty times "When did you come?", "When are you leaving?", "How is this year for you?", and a couple "Why are you here?"- how am I supposed to answer that? Well, thats something you need to have a talk with your parents about. actually, i just say "visit". The worst part though is, i really have to think about the answers everytime I'm asked. Its ok though, I have loved seeing everyone again. You can email me, cuz I've got lots of time now. And to make this longer I'm gonna put lots of smileys . Ok now that I'm bored of that I'm gonna try to do some homework. I love you guys elise | | |

“When one door of happiness closes, another opens; but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one which has opened for us." Helen Keller
"We shall not flag or fail. We shall go on to the end. We shall fight in France, we shall fight on the seas and the oceans, we shall fight with growing confidence and growing strength in the air, we shall defend our island, whatever the cost may be. We shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight on the landing grounds, we shall fight in the fields and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills; we shall never surrender." Winston Churchill

"How come the dove gets to be the peace symbol? How about the pillow? It has more feathers than the dove, and it doesn't have that dangerous beak." Jack Handey
"I think a good novel would be where a bunch of men on a ship are looking for a whale. They look and look, but you know what? They never find him. And you know why they never find him? It doesn't say. The book leaves it up to you, the reader, to decide. Then, at the very end, there's a page you can lick and it tastes like Kool-Aid." Jack Handey
"If you ever crawl inside an old hollow log and go to sleep, and while you're in there some guys come and seal up both ends and then put it on a truck and take it to another city, boy, I don't know what to tell you." Jack Handey

Hey!
Well I really don't know what to say, but I know that every person I
have talked to seems to be going through a lot of change. This year is
so different, and in the craziness and distraction, I spend more time
feeling sorry for myself than being thankful. I don't know how to put
it without it sounding like every other talk you've had but its
something I've been thinking about a lot- God is everything, and if I
really believed that I wouldn't spend all the time I do obscessing over
stupid things that don't matter in the longrun. God doesn't love me for
my grades or how many friends I have. When I asked a friend how she was
adjusting to a new place she said she wasn't there to feel comfortable,
but to show God's love to people. That hit me hard. He just wants us to
love people so they can see the joy that can only be found through Him.
I think it a joy that we've grow up with and always had so we take it
for granted. Thats the job God gave us to do, love people and its not
as easy as it sounds but it gives us real joy. Thats another great
thing, being taken out of comfort, we realize just how much we have
needed God all along.
I just wanted to say thank you guys for emailing stuff, it means a lot. I love ya'll and Merry Christmas
Elise
